Q&A with Manhattan Celtic on Their Promotion to the EPSL

Updated: Aug 20, 2021

I've never been more proud making a blog post. Promotion and Relegation is gaining more traction in the NISA Pyramid, and the EPSL had an announcement to make yesterday. Making history in their league, they announced that Manhattan Celtics will be joining the league after their promotion from the Cosmopolitan Soccer League. Without further ado, we're going to do a Q&A with Manhattan Celtic after this historic moment in the NISA Pyramid.

Q: Does the club have hopes to apply for a higher league in NISA?

The club will always look for growth. What's more important is growth at a realistic rate. We've had many opportunities before to go bigger and we've decided against. We are at a stage where we felt the current opportunity was correct.

Q: After promotion, what are some of the clubs future goals?

Our goal is to establish ourselves as an EPSL team. We don't want to cause a stir and hen get relegated within year 1. We want to become an established EPSL team in the next three years.

Q: What are the club's objectives going into the EPSL?

Objectives is to keep our identity that we had on the pitch in the CSL. We play aggressive football, We build through the thirds and despite our underdog tag for the season we are confident in our ability on the ball and our ability to regain possession quickly.
