At ISB, we're continuing the Q&As for the NISA Pyramid, and we have got a very good one set up for you today! For the first time on Independent Soccer Blog, we will be interviewing a player. Flower City Union's first ever signing, Colin Muller will be this latest Q&A!
Q: When FCU approached you was it an easy answer?
A: Yes. After talking with the owners and staff and seeing their vision for the club, it was a very easy answer. Having the opportunity to play professionally is something I have been chasing since I was at Liberty High School so it is very exciting to be a part of Flower City.
Q: How does it feel being able to say you're the first player to be signed for the club?
A: Being the first signing is a cool feeling that is hard to really describe. For me, I’m most excited about meeting the team and beginning training.
Q: With the club also signing Andrea Pregoni, have you talked to him yet to make that chemistry within the team?
A: We have spoken a bit since we have signed and hopefully will be able to meet in person soon! I’m sure we will meet and train together over the next couple months leading into preseason.
Q: Do you think FCU can become competitive in their first season in NISA?
A: I think we will be. It will be tough but every season is tough no matter who you are. We have a great staff and a great city behind us. I can’t wait to play and bring back good, competitive, soccer back to Rochester.
Q: Are you familiar with the city of Rochester, NY?
A: Since signing I have become more familiar. I went up a couple times now to visit the city and saw numerous areas. Every time I tell someone I’m playing for Flower City in Rochester they immediately tell me about the soccer culture and how much they love the sport. It will hopefully create an amazing atmosphere in the stadium!
