For the first time, ISB is starting a weekly preview and review of the NISA games weekly. Similar to the Independent Cup previews a couple of weeks ago, the blog will cover the games with each matchweek, as well as making some predictions. We'll give you the rundown of each matchup, all the storylines will be here, and after the matchweek we'll be reviewing our predictions, and talking about the quality of some of the games that we saw.

Stumptown AC vs Cal United Strikers

Stumptown AC are at home again this season, and they've been pretty surprising so far. With a record of 0 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses, this is a must win match for them if they want to go up the table. However, it'll be hard. Cal United have had better success so far this season, with a record of 1 win, 2 draws, and no losses. And, to add to their success, they have Omar Nuno, who's in flaming hot form. He has 4 goals so far this season, and counting. The only real upside for Stumptown here is that they're at the Sportsplex, but it won't matter that Cal United is away, they've never lost in 2 games away so far this season.

Prediction: Cal United Win

Maryland Bobcats FC vs San Diego 1904

The last time these two sides played was just 3 weeks ago for the first matchweek of the season. And that match was an absolute thriller. In the end, San Diego won the game 3-2 from a goal in the 88' minute by Wolfgang Prentice that proved to be the winner in the end. Maryland, in these last two weeks, haven't really improved. They still are yet to have a win in the season, with a 0 win, 1 draw, and 1 loss record. San Diego though, have been doing well. They have 2 wins, 0 draws, and 1 loss, so it's still better than Maryland. Plus, that one loss was to Detroit City (Who is pretty much unbeatable, so who can blame any team for losing to them.)

Prediction: San Diego Win

Chattanooga FC vs Los Angeles Force

This game is arguably the most entertaining for the matchweek. A replay of last season's semi-final game, that went LA Force's way. That game was probably the most entertaining NISA game I've ever seen, and it's up there for me as any game. However, this season LA Force have been pretty disappointing, they still have yet to have a win. Just 3 draws, out of 3 games. Chattanooga however have been better this season. They've done much better than they did last year. They have 2 wins, and 1 loss in 3 games. For me, this game is going to go differently than it did last year.

Prediction: Chattanooga Win

New Amsterdam FC vs Michigan Stars

This game is going to be a very interesting one. New Amsterdam have been killing it in NISA so far this season, and they're actually fighting for 1st place right now. If this was last year, I'd say Michigan would win this one. But this year has been different. NAFC have 1 draw, and 2 wins, so far unbeaten. Michigan are still yet to even have a win so far, and just 1 draw. The rest has been losses for the Stars. New Amsterdam are in hot form, last week's game really proved that they may be the real deal this season, destroying Chicago 4-0 in their first ever game at SeatGeek.

Prediction: New Amsterdam Win

Chicago House AC vs Detroit City FC

This is one of the games I would say is one of the most entertaining ones. But, after Chicago in last week's game losing 4-0, they may have a confidence drop. And like I said earlier, Detroit are very hard to beat. And it's going to be even harder for Chicago. The House have 1 win, and 2 losses while Le Rouge have 2 wins and 1 draw. The chances of Detroit losing this one are really low. I'm going the easy route for this prediction.

Prediction: Detroit Win
