NISA continues to grow their pyramid, and they've created a groundbreaking new partnership. This time it's the youth system they're investing and affiliating in, and they announced a new partnership today with the National Competitive Soccer League. The youth league plans to start play in 2022, and this new partnership will provide a way to have independent soccer even for the youth system.

It's very nice to see NISA creating pathways, not only for adults, but for the youth too. A true open system can help develop everyone, and while also using the sporting merits that can help grow the entire pyramid.

According to NISA's website, "The NCSL will be the youth component of the open system, path-to-pro pyramid for male and female players, with National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) and the Women's Independent Soccer League (WISL) at the top." The system will include the NCSL, and the newly created youth league will also run the promotion and relegation system across "sectional, state, regional, and national play."

Not only will the new league partner with NISA, put it will also partner with the Independent Soccer women's league, the WISL. The league will also provide the same resources for the women's side of our independent game too!

In conclusion, NISA and the WISL will be providing structures and pathways to the NCSL. The game is now growing at the youth level, so everyone can have a chance to play the Independent Soccer game in the US. More news will follow on the youth topic on the Independent Soccer Blog, so stay tuned!

Additional News: The league will be sanctioned by the USSSA as a member of the United States Soccer Federation.
